Caldwell Golf Club

Caldwell Golf Club, near Uplawmoor in Renfrewshire, was established in 1903 to a design by Willie Fernie, winner of the Open Championship, and later revised in the 1920s by five-time Open champion James Braid. That double pedigree places the course among the more historically significant parkland layouts in the west of Scotland, having been shaped by two of the era's most prominent player-designers. The club sits just five miles from Glasgow, on the boundary between East Ayrshire and East Renfrewshire, giving it a rural setting despite its proximity to the city. Day visitors and groups are welcome outside of the club's own competition programme, which runs throughout the season and includes stableford events, club championships and a signature event held each August.
