Derllys Golf Club
Derllys Golf Club takes its name from Derllys Court in Carmarthenshire, south-west Wales, a county built around the valley of the River Tywi and the market town of Carmarthen. Carmarthenshire is largely rural, with rolling farmland giving way to the Cambrian foothills in the north and the Carmarthen Bay coastline to the south, and it is often used as a gateway between Pembrokeshire and the rest of south Wales. The club's postcode, SA33 5DT, places it in the countryside outside Carmarthen town itself, within reach of the Tywi valley and the roads leading west towards St Clears and on into Pembrokeshire. Carmarthen, the county town, has Roman origins and remains the main service centre for this part of Wales. Visitors playing at Derllys are well placed to combine a round with time on the Carmarthen Bay coast or a drive further west towards the Pembrokeshire coast path and its beaches.
