Pwllheli Golf Club

🤍

Pwllheli Golf Club is based in the market town of Pwllheli, on the south coast of the Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd, north-west Wales. The peninsula juts out into the Irish Sea between Cardigan Bay and the Menai Strait, and Pwllheli sits on its southern shore looking across the bay towards the mountains of Snowdonia inland. The town has long served as a sailing and holiday centre for this stretch of coast, with a harbour, marina and sandy beaches nearby. Postcode LL53 places the club firmly within this part of Gwynedd, an area better known for its rugged coastline, Welsh-speaking communities and proximity to the Snowdonia National Park than for flat, easy terrain. Golfers visiting Pwllheli are usually drawn to the wider peninsula for walking, sailing and beach holidays as much as for the golf itself, with the town acting as a convenient base for exploring the Llŷn's smaller villages and its more remote western tip towards Aberdaron.
