Strathmore Golf Centre

Strathmore Golf Centre sits just outside Blairgowrie, a small Perthshire town on the edge of the Angus glens, an upland district of straths and hill farms that stretches north into the Grampian foothills. The wider Strathmore valley, from which the centre takes its name, runs for many miles between the Sidlaw and Grampian hills and has long been associated with soft-fruit growing, particularly raspberries, alongside barley and beef farming. Blairgowrie itself sits on the River Ericht and has functioned as a market town for the surrounding glens for centuries, with the golf centre positioned to serve both local players and visitors travelling up from Perth or Dundee. The centre's name reflects its setting in this broad, fertile valley rather than the higher glens further north, where the land turns to heather moor and rough grazing. Its position close to the A93 puts it within reach of the wider Perthshire and Angus golfing circuit that has developed around this part of eastern Scotland.
