Trefloyne Golf Course sits at Penally, a village on the fringe of Tenby on the south Pembrokeshire coast. The postcode, SA70, places it within reach of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, one of only a handful of coastal national parks in Britain, where limestone cliffs, dune systems and sheltered bays run for miles along the shoreline. Tenby itself is a walled harbour town with beaches either side of its headland, and Penally lies just inland of it in the Ritec valley. Trefloyne is played over 18 holes, giving a full round within that valley setting before the ground opens out towards the coast. Visitors to the club are often combining golf with a stay in or around Tenby, using the town's harbour, beaches and Georgian streets as a base, or picking up the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which passes close to the National Park boundary a short distance from the course. The wider county is known for its dramatic, indented coastline and small fishing harbours.
