Tyrrells Wood Golf Club sits above Leatherhead, on the high ground of the Surrey Hills where the North Downs begin to rise out of the Mole Valley. The clubhouse is Grade II listed, and the course occupies parkland and downland terrain typical of this part of Surrey, where mixed woodland and open pasture sit close to the M25 and the commuter towns of Leatherhead, Ashtead and Epsom. The KT22 postcode covers the southern edge of Leatherhead, an area shaped by the River Mole, which cuts through the North Downs a few miles to the east at Box Hill.
