About this course

Glen Golf Club sits on the headland above North Berwick, looking out across the Firth of Forth towards Bass Rock, home to one of the world's largest colonies of nesting gannets. The present 18-hole layout dates from 1906, when the club extended its course to full length under the direction of five-time Open champion James Braid, working alongside his design partner Ben Sayers. From the medal tees the course measures 6,275 yards and plays to a par of 70 for men, while the ladies' tees bring it to 5,773 yards and a par of 73. The routing makes the most of the exposed coastal ground, with fairways running close to the shoreline and greens set against the backdrop of the Forth estuary. Founded well over a century ago in its current form, the club has retained much of its original character while adapting to modern course management. Its position close to North Berwick's town centre places it among a string of well-known links and coastal courses strung along this stretch of the Firth of Forth shoreline, and the Bass Rock views remain a constant feature of the round from several vantage points on the back nine.

Glen Golf Club plays over 18 holes, a par of 70, and a length of 6,275 yards. The club dates back to 1906, giving it roughly 120 years of history in East Lothian.
