South Pembrokeshire Golf Club plays over 18 holes in the Haverfordwest area of Pembrokeshire, the westernmost county of south Wales and home to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The club's name reflects its position in the southern part of the county, close to the Cleddau, the tidal waterway that splits into eastern and western branches before opening out at Milford Haven, one of the deepest natural harbours in Britain. Pembrokeshire's coastline and estuaries have long shaped both the county's economy and its recreation, from sailing and walking the coast path to golf courses laid out along the water's edge or on farmland just inland. With a postcode of SA72 6SE, the club sits within reach of Haverfordwest, the county town, as well as the ferry port at Pembroke Dock and the settlements around the Haven. An 18-hole round here takes in a corner of Wales defined as much by water as by land.
