Wooler Golf Club

Wooler Golf Club plays over nine holes at Dod Law, just outside the town of Wooler in north Northumberland, close to the Cheviot Hills. Eighteen tee boxes are in use across the round, giving two separate tee positions for most holes so that a full round can be scored over the same greens, set to a par of 72. Wooler sits at the northern edge of the Cheviots, a market town that has long served walkers heading into the hills and the wider Northumberland National Park, with the coast at Bamburgh and Holy Island within a short drive to the east. The clubhouse provides catering for members and visitors, and the course is open through the summer months on Saturdays, Sundays and Thursdays, with other times available by prior arrangement. Visitor tee times are booked through an online system rather than a phone call in advance. The elevated ground at Dod Law places the course among open moorland and farmland typical of this part of Northumberland, within reach of both the Cheviot summits inland and the coast to the east, making Wooler a base for golf alongside walking and outdoor activity in the surrounding hills.
