About this course

Founded in 1905, Chapel was a challenging 9 hole course until the early 1970’s when legendary golf architects, Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, combined to produce the design for a further 9 holes. With the later acquisition of even more land enabling the original nine holes to be revamped, the resulting 18 hole par 72 course is a real hidden gem. The course is surprisingly flat, being situated in the bottom of the valley with stunning views of the surrounding peak district hills from every hole.

Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club plays over 18 holes and a par of 72. The club lists green fees at £30–£60. Prices shift by season, though, so check before you travel. The club dates back to 1905, giving it roughly 121 years of history in Glossop.
