Dukinfield Golf Club plays over 18 holes to a par of 70 across 6,043 yards, on ground six miles east of Manchester city centre. The front nine mixes short and mid-length holes with genuine variety: the 2nd is a short, uphill par three to a small, bowled green, while the 3rd stretches to 401 yards and needs two well-struck shots to reach in regulation. The 6th, at 340 yards, is shaped by a bunker set squarely in the fairway, forcing a decision on which side to attack the green from, and the 8th turns through a 90-degree dog-leg left, where positioning off the tee around 180 yards out sets up the approach. The 9th closes the outward half as a straightforward par five with a wide landing area for the drive. The opening hole's green slopes from back left down to front right and is guarded short and right by two bunkers, setting an early test of approach play. Visitors are welcomed onto the course at competitive rates alongside members. Dukinfield itself sits in Tameside, on the eastern fringe of Greater Manchester, giving the club an accessible location for golfers travelling from both the city and the Pennine-edge towns further east.
