Kirton Holme Golf Club

Kirton Holme Golf Club is a nine-hole course near Boston, Lincolnshire, established in 1992. The area around Boston sits in the flat fenland that dominates this part of Lincolnshire, low-lying, well-drained land reclaimed over centuries for arable farming and criss-crossed with drainage channels rather than natural rivers. Boston itself, a few miles to the east, is a historic market town on the River Witham, known for the tower of St Botolph's Church, locally called the Boston Stump, which is visible for miles across the flat surrounding country. A course founded as recently as 1992 sits among the newer wave of nine-hole and pay-and-play layouts that opened across rural England in the late twentieth century, often on farmland converted for the purpose.
