Market Rasen Racecourse Golf Course

Market Rasen Golf Club was established in 1912 and shares its setting with the town's well-known racecourse in Lincolnshire. The course is laid out as heathland, with the River Rase running through the ground and adding a natural hazard that comes into play on several holes. In 2021 the club was awarded Championship Venue status after hosting the English Senior Women's Amateur Championships, a recognition that reflects the standard of the layout and its facilities. Market Rasen itself sits in the Lincolnshire Wolds, an area of rolling chalk hills that gives the golf course more variation in terrain than the flat farmland found across much of the rest of the county. The club welcomes green fee payers, visiting golfers and societies throughout the year, with many returning as regulars rather than one-off visitors.
